Bullet Caliber Descriptions
.30-30 Winchester
The .30-30 Winchester (7.62x51mmR) cartridge was first marketed in 1895 for the Winchester Model 1894 lever-action rifle. The .30-30 (thirty-thirty), as it is most commonly known, was the North Americas first small-bore, sporting rifle cartridge designed for smokeless powder.
Suggested Use
- Deer
- Black Bear
- Elk
- Large Varmint
Performance
The .30-30 is considered to be the entry-class for modern big-game hunting cartridges. While it is very effective on deer-sized and black bear-sized game, most commercial loadings are limited in effective range to about 200 yd (183 m) for that purpose, except when using ballistic-tip ammunition. The cartridge is typically loaded with bullets weighing between 150 and 170 grains, but lighter loads are possible. Bullets of up to 180 gr can be used, but the overall length restrictions of the lever-action rifles most commonly chambered for this round limit their usefulness.
Marlin Model 336W is manufactured in USA

How do FFL Transfers Work?
All sales of firearms from Steel Fox Firearms will require the item to be sent to a registered FFL. If the FFL you wish the item to be sent to is not already in our database, we will not be able to send the item unless the requested FFL sends a file copy of their transfer license to [email protected]. Step 2: Select the closest FFL to you using our integrated map of FFL license holders.
Step 3: Once a valid FFL has been selected, finish the check out process. (If we do not have the FFL you requested on file, your order will be on hold until a transfer copy of the FFL has been received).
